Background
General Background
You are employed as a SharePoint administrator at Weyland Industries. Weyland Industries has a
SharePoint 2010 environment configured at present. You are preparing to configure a SharePoint

Technical Background

being restricted from including terms or generating enterprise keywords. Keywords and content
types should be shared amongst sites, site collections, and web applications.
Distinctive qualities and data with reference to uploaded items should be accumulated to allow for
search methods to be streamlined. Administrators should be able to promote search query results
throughout the environment.
External associates, contractors, and staff should be allowed to interact socially to encourage the
creation of new concepts. Profile data should be replicated to associate sites from the

Third-party suppliers should have the ability to view and alter documents. Only friendly URLs
should be used for publishing sites. Furthermore, exclusive training media should be contained in
single files, and must be exhibited on the training site. The logging of modifications to sensitive
files should also be allowed for.
Technical Prerequisites
Large files should not be hosted by the SharePoint content database or databases. Servers
should be installed on virtual machines. search queries should be dealt with by web servers, and
multiple content types should be supported by all lists.
