How can you ensure that the queued email is delivered?

Your role of Messaging Administrator at ABC.com includes the management of the company’s
Exchange 2013 Server infrastructure. The ABC.com network consists of a main office and a
branch office. Each office is configured as a site in a single Active Directory Domain Services (AD
DS) domain named ABC.com. The two offices are connected by a WAN link.
The Exchange Server 2013 infrastructure contains the servers as shown in the following table.
Server Name
Server Role
Location
MainMB1
Mailbox Server

MainCAS1

BranchMB1

Firewalls allow only the Client Access Servers to communicate with the Internet. All outbound
email is sent using MainCAS1.
You discover that a problem with MainCAS1 is causing outbound email to be queued on
BranchMB1.
You create a new Send Connector in the branch office site but the email is still queued.

The set-sendconnector configures the CAS server to send the mail out. The CAS is simply a proxy to the internet. It doesn’t store or queue anything. So if the mail is not flowing through the CAS to the Outside world then that send connector needs to be reconfigured with the frontendproxy switch enabled
