You have an Exchange Server 2013 organization. You purchase a Microsoft Office 365
subscription and configure a hybrid deployment. The network contains an SMTP relay server
named smarthost.contoso.com. The server is configured to use a certificate that has a
subject name of smarthost.contoso.com. All users have Microsoft Outlook 2013 installed on
their client computer. Outlook 2013 is configured to connect to mail.contoso.com. All
Exchange servers have a certificate that has a subject name of mail.contoso.com. You
discover that email messages sent from on-premises users are not delivered to Office 365
recipients. You discover that the Send connector for Office 365 uses a smart host of
smarthost.contoso.com. You need to ensure that the on-premises users can send email
messages to the Office 365 recipients. Which two actions should you perform? (Each correct
answer presents part of the solution. Choose two.)
A.
Run the Hybrid Configuration Wizard again.
B.
Configure the Microsoft Exchange Online Protection (EOP) Send connector to use
smarthost.contoso.com
C.
Configure the centralized mail transport option.
D.
Remove the smart host from the Send connector.
E.
Assign a certificate that has a subject name of smarthost.contoso.com to the Send
connector.

Sorry, Ty, got disagree partly. A is correct, but D is the other choice. You can’t have a smart host between your on-premise Exchange environment and O365. The question talks about outbound mailflow to O365, and the send connector has to point directly at O365, not a smarthost.
I agree with you. A & D
Would the Hybrid Config Wizard not remove the smarthost?
The URL provided by Ty doesn’t seem to speak much about routing email from OnPrem to O365…
The URL speaks about using Centralized Mail Config to manipulate how emails from O365 is sent to Internet, whether it is sent from O365 directly (in which case Centralized Mail Config is disabled) or via OnPrem (in which case Centralized Mail Config is enabled).
So not sure how this is used as a basis to answer this particular question.
It could be A&E.
Yeah i think it’s A & E

Finally PASSED 70-342 exam last week for the second try, scored 905!
Got 40 questions = 8 questions in the Case Study and 32 mixed questions.
About 5-8 NEW Qs (NOT available in this AIO site, I got them from other sites, visit the links at the end of this comments), they are mainly on RMS/IRM, Office365 co-existence, DAG (site resilience).
And, questions on ShadowRedundancy and SafetyNet have been reworded.
NOTE: a good knowledge about UM and lifestyle of DAG’s will help you a lot for passing!
P.S. Case Studies FYI:
1. A.Datum
2. Contoso, Ltd.
3. Trey Research
4. Proseware, Inc.
5. Fabrikam, Inc.
I learned valid 70-342 dumps here: http://www.passleader.com/70-342.html (231q VCE & PDF dumps, wrong answers have been corrected, all new Qs are from it, the most valid 70-342 dumps!)
By the way, you can download that passleader 70-342 dumps for free here:
