Overview
General Overview
Proseware, Inc., is an international manufacturing company that has 1,000 users. Proseware
has a sales department, a marketing department, a research department, and a human
resources department.
Proseware purchases another company named Contoso, Ltd. Contoso has 500 users.

The mailbox of each pilot user is moved to Office 365. For the pilot mailboxes, all inbound
email messages from the Internet are delivered to the Exchange Server organization, and then
forwarded to Office 365.
Contoso has an Exchange Server 2010 organization.
Problem Statements
Proseware identifies the following issues:
• MapiNet is saturated with network traffic caused by the database
replication between the members of DAG1 over MapiNet.
• The pilot users report that entries added to their Safe Senders list and
their Blocked Senders list fail to work.

OWA needs SP1 for the S/Mime feature.

S/MIME support for OWA Support for S/MIME in OWA will be brought back in SP1. With SP1 customers will have S/MIME support across Outlook, Exchange ActiveSync clients, and OWA.

3 S/MIME
The benefit of S/MIME is that:
1- the recipient can be certain that what they receive is what the sender sent, and that the sender really was the sender who sent it.
2- S/MIME also allows for the message to be encrypted so that it is readable only to the recipients and not anyone else.
3- Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1 and later can make use of certificates stored in the Active Directory so that Outlook Web App can send and receive S/MIME protected emails.
