Creating core UM objects
After you’ve installed (at least one of) the Mailbox and CAS servers you want to use with UM, essentially five steps are required to complete your initial deployment:
1) creating the UM dial plan objects (When you create a dial plan, you select the language you want the dial plan to use. Thus, install German language pack first),
2) creating UM IP gateway objects,
3) creating UM hunt groups,
4) creating at least one UM mailbox policy,
5) creating any UM automated attendants you plan to use.
After you’ve created these objects, you can start configuring them as appropriate, and then you can enable users so that they start benefiting from UM features.
