—————————————
Windows RT 8.1 is a Windows-based operating system that’s optimized for thin and light PCs that have extended battery life and are designed for life on the go. Windows RT 8.1 only runs built-in apps or apps that you download from the Windows Store.
—————————————

As the desktop, laptops and surface pros have the full-fledged Windows, I say License A all the way.
My Answer: AAAA

Each user can install Office on 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets (Windows, iPad, and Android), and 5 phones.
Surface RT is considered as tablet. Surface Pro 2 count as PC.
So A,B,A,A,A,A

Sara

Sara

Can both all A and all B be the answer?

Robert

Robert

Don’t know why he already has got 2 subscriptions for only two devices. If there are four more devices on license A, it would be BBBB, like it’s shown.

Nathan

Seems the question already made the mistake of putting 2 licenses. Only one license is needed in the first place. License A would have covered all devices. Purchasing License B is unnecessary.

To be honest, this question needs to be removed from the test since MS seems to keep changing their mind about how Surface Pros are classified. Furthermore Surface RT is preloaded with Office 2013 RT. So why would you even licence it?

Bas

Bas

Based on the following statement: Furthermore Surface RT is preloaded with Office 2013 RT

Because the RT has it’s own OEM license (License B). License B cannot be used on other devices.
The’re still four machines left for License A to use. License B cannot be used on other devices.

Bas – How do you know License B is assigned to Surface RT? it could be License A.

Read the question.

@Hikmat – no you see in the question that Surface Pro RT has license B assigned (which is as Bas states a different license type than A).
Therefore the answer should be indeed A A A A instead of B B B B

Office 2013 RT doesn’t need licence …

. If you use a Windows RT or Surface tablet to access Office Professional Plus 2016 or Office Standard 2016
software running remotely in a data center, the Windows RT or Surface device must be separately licensed for the
corresponding Office suite
