DRAG DROP
Your company uses Microsoft SharePoint Online. You create a subsite in an existing site
collection. The subsite will serve as a document repository from which anyone can download
documents. External sharing is turned off globally.
You plan to share documents with users by emailing document links. Users must not be
required to sign in to the subsite to download the documents.
You need to configure the environment to allow document sharing with external users.
Which three actions should you perform in sequence? To answer, move the appropriate
actions from the list of actions to the answer area and arrange them in the correct order.
Answer: See the explanation.
The answer is correct.
OK
• External Sharing must be turned on globally with the “Allow both external users who accept sharing invitations and guest links” option enabled.
• Turn on External Sharing at the site collection level through SharePoint Online admin site
• Enable sharing for each document
Im a bit confused on this one, can someone explain? if the collection has sharing enabled, why would you need to enable sharing on each and every document? Also, the question SEEMED to imply that the global sharing was off and that we had to circumvent that somehow, which to me was a bit misleading…
Actually, NEVERMIND! I totally understand this one now. Basically, the question didnt say that we need to prevent anyone from sharing, so basically we need to enable external sharing for the tenant and the collection and then share each file. You do not need to share the subsite because it implies that you only want to share the single documents with links.
You will have to excuse my friend, he is a little slow…
