Example:
Set-DnsClientServerAddress -InterfaceIndex 3 -ServerAddresses “::1”

Where “-InterfaceIndex 3” 3 is the NIC interface name

Where “-ServerAddresses “::1” “::1” is the IPv6 DNS server address

because in the question it states that your running Server Core, which using sconfig would be using the gui

sconfig is THE tool for core (but is available in all versions).

sconfig is wrong because you can only add ipv4 addresses.
