You have a server named Server1 that runs Windows Server 2012.
You need to enable access-based enumeration for a file share on Server1.
Which tool should you use?
A.
File Server Resource Manager (FSRM)
B.
File Explorer
C.
Share and Storage Management
D.
Server Manager
I think the answer is Share and Storage Management. Reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/library/dd772681%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
that was for windows server 2008. Reference : http://blogs.technet.com/b/keithmayer/archive/2012/10/21/ntfs-shared-folders-a-whole-lot-easier-in-windows-server-2012.aspx
win 2008 use Share and Storage Management
win 2012 use server manager
I found 2 similar question but asking in different OS
There’s no Share and Storage Management console in 2012. Shares managed by SM.
You better set up lab. This question obviously asks ‘did you just memorize answers or at least you know where the buttons are in server 2012?’
you need to use server manager tool.
First you need to add the File And Storage Services role to the server and reboot the server. Then go to File And Storage Services in System Manager.
Press Shares, select your shared folder, right-click and press Properties.
