You work as an administrator at ABC.com. The ABC.com network consists of a single domain
named ABC.com. All servers in the ABC.com domain have Windows Server 2012 R2 installed,
while domain controllers have Windows Server 2008 R2 installed.
You are then tasked with deploying a new Windows Server 2012 R2 domain controller. You are
preparing to install the DNS Server role, and enable the global catalog server option.
Which of the following actions should you take?
A.
You should consider making use of Server Manager.
B.
You should consider making use of the Active Directory Installation Wizard.
C.
You should consider making use of the DHCP Installation Wizard
D.
You should consider making use of TS Manager

The answer should be A. You need to use Server Manager to install the AD binaries BEFORE running the AD installation wizard.
Liron, that link you provides shows a page relating to 2003 server.
Question asks about enabling GC option which means AD is already installed. In this case, A is best answer:

Well said. I say its Answer A ‘Server Manager’.
Another shady question.
You are tasked with deploying a NEW windows 2012 server r2 domain controller (line 4). So that means its NOT yet installed on this NEW server and AD does exist in this network. So you would have to go thru AD wizard. You are given the enable GC option when installing the AD since this is an additional domain controller. B is unfortunately correct here.
It seems that everybody (me too) tends to overthinking on questions .
Anyway GC as nothing to do with dns role itself as suggested by jx .
But to complete this task you’ll install a DC created as GC and dns services .
So B it’s correct in my opinion.
Conclusion :those questions should end with “Choose the best that apply” instead of “correct answer”
B will be correct because the statement says “you are tasked to deploy a new Windows Server 2012 Domain Controller”. A would be correct if that statement was not there. Server Manager would only be used in the case whereby AD was already installed and GC was not enabled.
Installing AD DS by using Server Manager
AD DS can be installed in Windows Server 2012 by using the Add Roles Wizard in Server Manager, followed by the Active Directory Domain Services Configuration Wizard, which is new beginning in Windows Server 2012. The Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard (dcpromo.exe) is deprecated beginning in Windows Server 2012.
The following sections explain how to create server pools in order to install and manage AD DS on multiple servers, and how to use the wizards to install AD DS.

Therefore A, once you can’t go directly to the DS config wizard.
just want to ask who’s already taken the 70-140 exam?
agree with marcos, you go through server manager to get to AD. stupid question if ever ive seen one.
taking it today Lorrdrey, im bricking myself

Answer is A. Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard has been relocated to Server Manager for Windows Server 2012 R2. I think the trick here is to know that and realize that Active Directory Installation Wizard was used in previous versions … difference being that “Domain Services” is not in the name.
same question points to A as correct
