Explanation:
You should join the server to the domain first. You can add workgroup servers to Server Manager on
a domain joined server, however, you must first add the workgroup computer to the Trusted Hosts
list using “Set-Item wsman:\localhost\Client\TrustedHostsWorkgroupServerName -Concatenate –
Force”
Answer contradicts itself as you can manage workgroup server so no need to join to domain.
Poorly worded question and not enough information. It assumes network and time settings are correct.
Would have said 8 – If network is not configurated then you wont be able to connect or if time is out by more then 5 then kerberos you would not be able to join domain either.
8 looks like the best answer , especially that there was question like that in v4 set.
In a previous similar question the answer was 8: network settings.
I’d go with that.
agreed..1st we need to configure Network Settings
h/8
you need to determine if server that you want to manage is in the same subnet as the computer on which you are running Server Manager or if the workgroup server’s network profile is set to Private
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831453.aspx#BKMK_add
it also does not state this is a newly installed server which would make an obvious answer of 8. but ill go with 8 I guesssss
These questions are the reason why I hate Microsoft. Has anyone known to get these types of questions wrong on an exam and fought Microsoft on the answers?
Because if I chose 8 and got it wrong, you’d be sure Microsoft and PearsonVUE would be getting a tongue lashing.
Domain is not mentioned anywhere, why should we even consider it as an option ?
Add and manage servers in workgroups
Although adding servers that are in workgroups to Server Manager might be successful, after they are added, the Manageability column of the Servers tile—on a role or group page that includes a workgroup server—can display Credentials not valid errors that occur while trying to connect to or collect data from the remote, workgroup server.
These or similar errors can occur in the following conditions.
The managed server is in the same workgroup as the computer that is running Server Manager.
The managed server is in a different workgroup from the computer that is running Server Manager.
One of the computers is in a workgroup, while the other is in a domain.
The computer that is running Server Manager is in a workgroup, and remote, managed servers are on a different subnet.
Both computers are in domains, but there is no trust relationship between the two domains.
Both computers are in domains, but there is only a one-way trust relationship between the two domains.
The server you want to manage has been added by using its IP address.
