You work as an administrator at Contoso.com. The Contoso.com network consists of a single domain
named Contoso.com. All servers in the Contoso.com domain, including domain controllers, have
Windows Server 2012 R2 installed.
Contoso.com has a server, named ENSUREPASS-SR15, which is configured as a file server.
You have received instructions to make sure that a user, named Mia Hamm, has the ability to
generate a complete backup of ENSUREPASS-SR15 via Windows Server Backup.
Which of the following actions should you take?
A.
You should consider making use of Computer Management to configure the local groups.
B.
You should consider making use of Computer Management to configure the domain local groups.
C.
You should consider making use of Computer Management to configure the global groups.
D.
You should consider making use of Computer Management to configure the administrator groups.
Explanation:
To perform backups or recoveries by using Windows Server Backup, you must be a member of the
Administrators or Backup Operators groups.
You can only use Backup locally; you cannot backup a remote computer.
You can only back up and restore System State data on a local computer. You cannot back up and
restore System State data on a remote computer even if you are an administrator on the remote
computer.
Why not A – You should consider making use of Computer Management to configure the local groups?
i have found the following with answer “A” in v4 (282)
You have a file server named Server1 that runs Windows Server 2012 R2.
You need to ensure that a user named User1 can use Windows Server Backup to create a
complete backup of Server1.
What should you configure?
A.
The local groups by using Computer Management
B.
The Role Assignment by using Authorization Manager
C.
A task by using Authorization Manager
D.
The User Rights Assignment by using the Local Group Policy Editor
the answers seems to be wrong on this website
You questions has no mention of domains in it as well. So seems to be entirely different questions to me.
Use local default backup operators group. Local backup operator can access computer from network. Best practice don’t assign users doman level groups if they administer only one server. So I say A
When I read option A on this question I think
The local groups on the server (ENSUREPASS-SR15). So using Computer Management and adding the user to the backup operators group on that server should give him rights.
Although she could do it as an admin and it does not say don’t give her more rights than needed. But it does say what ‘should you do’.
If faced w/ this question on an exam…..I would go with A.
Dumps are not the only source for studying you should use. Answer is D: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772523.aspx
exactly the same thing told by my husband that don’t follow the answers here do a research on internet answers sometimes can be wrong here or on any dump sites…please people be enlightened by correct answers than on answers by dump sites…it will help in exam

This question is illogical because women can’t be sys admins.. so none of the above.
“To use Windows Server Backup, you must be a member of the Backup Operators or Administrators group, or you must have been delegated the appropriate authority.”

“Default local groups:
Group: Backup Operators
Description: Members of this group can back up and restore files on the server, regardless of any permissions that protect those files. This is because the right to perform a backup takes precedence over all file permissions. They cannot change security settings.
Default user rights: Access this computer from the network; Allow log on locally; Back up files and directories; Bypass traverse checking; Restore files and directories; Shut down the system.”
