HOTSPOT
Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. The domain contains a
server named Server1 that has the Network Policy Server server role installed. The domain contains
a server named Server2 that is configured for RADIUS accounting.
Server1 is configured as a VPN server and is configured to forward authentication requests to
Server2.
You need to ensure that only Server2 contains event information about authentication requests
from connections to Server1.
Which two nodes should you configure from the Network Policy Server console?
To answer, select the appropriate two nodes in the answer area.
Explanation:
Answer is wrong.
Correct answer is..
– Remote RADIUS Server Groups
– Connection Request Properties
I agree with TDAC. See http://www.aiotestking.com/microsoft/which-two-should-you-configure-on-server3-4/
Both of you are wrong. You were correct if the question was how to configure forwarding authorization requests, but the question is asking about forwarding accounting requests. See comments here:
http://www.aiotestking.com/microsoft/which-two-nodes-should-you-configure-from-the-network-policy-server-console/
answer is correct as the question does say that server1 is already configured to forward connection requests to server2 which means that a RADIUS group is already in place and that a connection request policy is already in place to forward authentication requests.
But what it’s asking is to ensure that all events related to authentication requests are stored on server2 only.
Hence
1. from the NPS server node (on server 1) untick the options to log authentication requests in the event viewer
2. amend the existing connection request to forward accounting to server2
Completely agree with that.
who do you agree with please ?

If you want accounting information logged remotely but not locally, you must configure the local NPS server to not perform accounting, while also configuring accounting in a connection request policy to forward accounting data to a remote RADIUS server group.
That Microsoft article also says: “Connection request policy accounting settings function independent of the accounting configuration of the local NPS server. In other words, if you configure the local NPS server to log RADIUS accounting information to a local file or to a Microsoft® SQL Server™ database, it will do so regardless of whether you configure a connection request policy to forward accounting messages to a remote RADIUS server group.”
And your point is?
The whole quote actually says this:
“Connection request policy accounting settings function independent of the accounting configuration of the local NPS server. In other words, if you configure the local NPS server to log RADIUS accounting information to a local file or to a Microsoft® SQL Server™ database, it will do so regardless of whether you configure a connection request policy to forward accounting messages to a remote RADIUS server group.
If you want accounting information logged remotely but not locally, you must configure the local NPS server to not perform accounting, while also configuring accounting in a connection request policy to forward accounting data to a remote RADIUS server group.”
In other words, provided answer is correct. Testtaker has already explained this well:
1. from the NPS server node (on server 1) untick the options to log authentication requests in the event viewer
2. amend the existing connection request to forward accounting to server2
Just Passed 70-411 Exam Yesterday! 9xx/1000!!
Total 42 questions, around 5-8 new questions, 4 of them were on RODC.
I used the premium 70-411 dumps from here: http://www.passleader.com/70-411.html (445q), all new Qs were from it and wrong answers have been corrected, good enough for passing!
And, you can download part of that 445q 70-411 dumps here:
