Which tool should you use?

Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com.
A previous administrator implemented a Proof of Concept installation of Active Directory
Rights Management Services (AD RMS).
After the proof of concept was complete, the Active Directory Rights Management Services
server role was removed.
You attempt to deploy AD RMS.
During the configuration of AD RMS, you receive an error message indicating that an
existing AD RMS Service Connection Point (SCP) was found.
You need to remove the existing AD RMS SCP.

Is this correct? I found on the Internet the following:

Hi –

It sounds like the issue is that your Service Connection Point (SCP) is still registered. The SCP is an Active Directory entry that points users to their RMS server. And if you try and install an RMS server, the install process will find the SCP and attempt to join the existing cluster. To delete the SCP, open the Active Directory Domains and Trusts console, show services, and delete the entry for RightsManagementServices.

For more information about the (SCP), check out this article: https://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/710.the-ad-rms-service-connection-point.aspx

I hope that helps!

I just went and tried this on my lab, I cannot even find any services in the Domains and Trust MMC, but i can however find them in the Sites and Services MMC, so Lee is right.

The answers from V.2 without the arguments.

Answer is D.

To unregister the current Service Connection Point (SCP)

Login with Domain Enterprise Admin account on Windows RMS clusters.
Open the RMS Administrative console.
Click on RMS Service Connection Point and click on Unregister URL.
Now the SCP has been unregistered from the WINRMS cluster.
Make sure that within Active Directory Sites and Services that Rights Management Services and the SCP folder are removed after unregistering the SCP URL.

Wrote my 70-412 exam few days ago and passed with a good score!

File and Storage Solutions and Identity and Access Solutions (ADFS, RMS, etc.) were the most difficult parts of the 70-412 exam.

Some study materials that I used:

Books:
Microsoft Official Academic Course: Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 R2 Services (highly recommend, for it has more details and more Powershell and more sensible labs than other boos)

Mastering Windows Server 2012 R2

Windows Server 2012 R2: Inside-Out

Training Videos:
Pluralsight

Practice Tests:
PassLeader 70-412 exam dumps (pdf and vce: https://tr.im/Dkbt1, I got it with 10% free), really helpful for testing my knowledge before taking real exam.

All are just FYI, hope all can pass the exam easily. Good Luck!

ADRMS will registered the Service Connection Point (SCP) in Active Directory and you will need to unregister
first before you remove the ADRMS server role.
