no error there, there’s no security tab which indicates that dns is not AD integrated

User1 is trying to create a conditional forwaredr for the same DNS namespace, so the error message should state:

“A problem occurred while trying to add the conditional forwarder. A Zone configuration problem occurred”

Despite being in different forests, DNS will need to treat corp.contoso.com as a delegated zone. That’s just how namespaces work.
