Your network contains an internal network and a perimeter network. The internal network contains
an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. All client computers in the perimeter network are
part of a workgroup.
The internal network contains a Microsoft System Center 2012 infrastructure.
You plan to implement an update infrastructure to update the following:
Windows Server 2012
System Center 2012
Windows Server 2003
Microsoft SQL Server 2012
Third-party virtualization hosts
Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
Another administrator recommends implementing a single WSUS server to manage all of the
updates. You need to identify which updates can be applied by using the recommended deployment
of WSUS.
What should you identify? (Each correct answer presents part of the solution. Choose all that apply.)
A.
SQL Server 2012
B.
System Center 2012
C.
SharePoint Server 2010
D.
Windows Server 2012
E.
Third-party virtualization hosts
F.
Windows Server 2003
It should be ABCDF. WSUS can do all MS products but not Third-party.
The correct answer is ABDF. WSUS does not have a category for SharePoint.
WSUS has been able to update Sharepoint since the beginning of the year.
ABCDF
agreed
ABCDF
Be careful with this one

You are my inhalation, I possess few blogs and very sporadically run out from brand :). “Analyzing humor is like dissecting a frog. Few people are interested and the frog dies of it.” by E. B. White.

Correct aswers: A, B, D, E, F
A, B, D, F – all they are in WSUS/Options/Products and classifications.
C – SharePoint updates were consumable by WSUS by VERY short time, and aren’t now, and I hope no more will be 😉
E – all updates to third party app are at last theoretically consumable by WSUS, more about it there: http://windowsitpro.com/article/patch-management/Secure-non-Microsoft-applications-by-publishing-3rd-party-updates-to-WSUS-129241
129241
Based on different sources I think that WSUS is able to deploy 3rd party apps, but not from default.
If I must choose based on this question and answers I would go for A,B,D and F.
JamesL is right.
SharePoint server (including 2010) patches were published in WSUS for a while, but are no longer published.

Maybe an old (now a “cross fingers”) question.
Anyway, WSUS can’t provide patches for “third-party VIRTUALIZATION hosts” (eg.: ESXi).
So, E is wrong.
