The answer should be A + B, because we have the last differential backup which was taken at 10 pm, it is possible to restore that by simple recovery model. otherwise you going to loose the whole data since the last full backup.

according to the question it is the last differential back up which was taken at 11 pm was failed. so you should :
A. Restore the last full back up which was taken at 12 pm at midnight
B. Restore the last differential backup which was taken at 10 PM before the last backup which was fail

Last differential backup was at 3:00 AM which is failed…Immediate before 3 am ..last differential backup was at 11 PM but Full backup was at midnight which is after last good Differential Backup.
