that is confusing , but i think you need to select weekday as they expect high volume DUE to holiday weekend.

Remember: you can auto scale instance count by CPU metric but can not change instance size in auto scale schedule.

Shouldn’t the SCALE BY METRIC change to CPU? Does the instance count remain the same?

If the only option you have in the question is weekday/weekend, the answer is definitely weekend.
You would then go on to set Scale by Metric to CPU, and configure it to roll out some more instances when the CPU load gets too high. Remember that this is happening during the weekend.

There’s no need to set weekday scaling because the site is already working just fine under normal load.
