Complete the following steps to install and configure the Azure Active Directory Sync tool on your Azure Virtual Machine:

On the Azure Virtual Machine, log on by using an account that has local administrator privileges, and then use the following link to download the Azure Active Directory Sync tool: Microsoft Azure Active Directory Sync tool – 64 bit.

The DirSync installation is a wizard-driven experience that starts by prompting you for two
sets of credentials that DirSync needs to conigure directory synchronization. The credentials
needed are as follows:
■ The credentials for a global administrator in the Azure Active Directory
■ The credentials for a domain administrator in the Windows Server Active Directory

Enterprise Admin is agreed.
How about Global vs Domain?
Does the line “multiple domains” mentioned in the question have any significance?
Andrea’s post above states that for Windows Server AD, Domain Admin creds are essential… but it goes on to say that Global Admin creds in required for the ‘Cloud Service’.
Another question with no straight forward response in the documentation from MS. Grrrr!!!
