What should you do?

You have a Remote Desktop Services (RDS) server farm named farm.contoso.com. The farm contains
five servers. The Servers are configured as shown in the following table.

The farm is configured to host virtual desktops. All users access the virtual desktops by using RD Web
Access. Users who use Remote Desktop Connection 6.1 report that they cannot connect to their
personal virtual desktop by using RD Web Access. You verify that the users who use Remote Desktop
Connection 7.0 can access their personal virtual desktop by using RD Web Access. What should you
do? (Each correct answer presents part of the solution. Choose two.)

C.
Create a host (A) record named Redirect that points to 192.168.1.100

D.
Create a host (A) record named Redirect that points to 192.168.0.75

E.
From Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration, configure Server2 for dedicated farm
redirection.

F.
Create a canonical name (CNAME) record for server5.contoso.com.

Explanation:
To provide redirection to virtual desktops for clients that are using Remote Desktop Connection
(RDC) 6.1 or earlier, you must specify an alternative server name on the Redirection Settings tab in
the Virtual Desktops Properties dialog box in the Remote Desktop Connection Manager tool. For
information about configuring redirection settings for virtual desktops, see Configure Redirection
Settings for Virtual Desktops.
To configure an alternative server name, you must create a DNS host resource record for the
alternative server name that maps the alternative server name to the IP address of the Remote
Desktop Session Host (RD Session Host) server that is configured to provide redirection to virtual
desktops.
To add a DNS entry for an alternative server name
Open the DNS snap-in. To open the DNS snap-in, log on to a computer where the DNS snap-in has
been installed, click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then click DNS. Expand the server name
of the DNS server that you want to configure, expand Forward Lookup Zones, and then expand the
domain name.
Right-click the appropriate zone, and then click New Host (A or AAAA).
In the Name (uses parent domain name if blank) box, type the alternative server name. In the IP
address box, type the IP address of the RD Session Host server that is configured to provide
redirection to virtual desktops. Click Add Host.
When you are finished, click Done.
