Your network contains an Active Directory domain named contoso.com. Contoso.com contains two domain controllers. The domain controllers are configured as show in the following table.
————————————————————————————————————————————-
Server Server IP Address Server site
————————————————————————————————————————————-
DC1 10.1.1.1/16 Default-First-Site-Name
DC2 10.1.1.2/16 Default-First-Site-Name
————————————————————————————————————————————-
All client computers have IP addresses in the 10.1.2.1 to 10.1.2.240
You need to minimize the number of client authentication requests send to DC2.
What should you do?
A.
Create a new site named Site1. Create a new subnet object that has the 10.1.1.0/24 prefix and assing the subnet to Site1. Move DC1 to Site1.
B.
Create a new site named Site1. Create a new subnet object that has the 10.1.1.1/32 prefix and assing the subnet to Site1. Move DC1 to Site1.
C.
Create a new site named Site1. Create a new subnet object that has the 10.1.1.2/32 prefix and assing the subnet to Site1. Move DC2 to Site1.
D.
Create a new site named Site1. Create a new subnet object that has the 10.1.2.0/24 prefix and assing the subnet to Site1. Move DC2 to Site1.
I don’t get it. Why the /32 Mask? I would say its “D” because its the only answer with a valid Subnetmask and moving the desired DC2 somewhere else.
I need an explanaition please.
the /32 is because you only have 1 PC and it simplifies configuration as there is no wasted IP’s, no need for routing tables, etc.
OMG PLS Try to create subnet object with 10.1.1.2/32!!!
This is HOST address !!! You need network address.
My bad this is a network address 🙁
if that is true this site wouoldn’t be able to comunicate with any other site at least it has to be a /30 mask so you can have 2 computers to comunicate with each other I think it has to be a /24 mask
