Which statement is true about a whole consistent database backup on a database running in ARCHIVELOG mode?
A.
The backup will consist of used data blocks only.
B.
The database must be shut down to accomplish the backup.
C.
The backup can be accomplished without shutting down the database.
D.
The backup will contain all database files that have never been backed up.
It seems that the exibition does not suit to the question…..
u r right
LOL! wrong exhibition. hahaha
The only way to make a consistent whole database backup is to shut down the database cleanly and make the backup while the database is closed. If a database is not shut down cleanly, e.g., an instance fails or you issue a SHUTDOWN ABORT statement, the database’s datafiles are always inconsistent–unless you opened the database in read-only mode. Instance recovery will be required at open time.

Why is the wrong exhibition. Could any one explain this exhibition and the right one exhibition according to question. ?
Straight from the Oracle documentation:
“A consistent backup is a backup of one or more database files that you make after the database has been closed with a clean SHUTDOWN command. Unlike an inconsistent backup, a consistent, whole database backup does not require recovery after it is restored.”
Tremendous issues here. I am very happy to look your article.
Thanks so much and I’m taking a look forward to touch
you. Will you please drop me a mail?
