I would have say the D as the correct answer ?

Rescheduling doesn’t prevent anything…

Is the answer D?

I would also say D is the correct answer as it means updates will download and install but will not restart until the user reboots.

D is the correct answer.

I like D also. A sounds like the pc wants me to change the time from 10:00 to another. I guess it would prompt me to do such a thing the next time I log on.

Of the above choices, the answer can only be D.

A = allows setting a specified amount of time to wait after startup to proceed with a previously missed installation.

B = Disabling the Re-prompt for restart would ensure that the computer would restart without notification (even if the user was previously prompted for a restart and dismissed it)

C = specifies the hours that Windows will use to determine how to long to wait before checking for updates but it does not prevent unplanned reboots.

If this question came up in the test but did not have D as a choice, I would challenge the question. No other Windows Update policy under Computer or User seem to satisfy this scenario.

The answer should be D

“No Auto-restart for Scheduled Automatic Update Installation Options

This policy specifies that to complete a scheduled installation, Automatic Updates will wait for the computer to be restarted by any user who is logged on, instead of causing the computer to restart automatically.
If the status is set to Enabled, Automatic Updates will not restart a computer automatically during a scheduled installation if a user is logged on to the computer. Instead, Automatic Updates will notify the user to restart the computer in order to complete the installation.
Be aware that Automatic Updates will not be able to detect future updates until the restart occurs.
If the status is set to Disabled or Not Configured, Automatic Updates will notify the user that the computer will automatically restart in 5 minutes to complete the installation.
This policy applies only when Automatic Updates is configured to perform scheduled installations of updates. If the Configure Automatic Updates policy is disabled, this policy has no effect.”

To inhibit auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installation options

In Group Policy Object Editor, expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand Windows Components, and then click Windows Update.
In the details pane, click No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installation options, and set the option.
Click OK.

Finally passed my 70-688 exam for the second try! The Microsoft exam, especially the 70-688 exam, was more harder than Cisco exam I have taken, also much more difficult than the 70-687, but luckily passed for the second attempt. God Bless!

Here are some useful study materials that I learned: (if you are struggling the 70-688, you can have a try)
1. Windows 8.1 Supporting Book (Microsoft Press)
2. Measure-up 70-688 practice tests
3. PassLeader 70-688 brain dump (its vce dumps really helpful, same as the real exam, recommend here: http://bit.ly/1BsZOxh)

Also, my experience in Windows Defender, Office 365, Intune……helped a lot for passing exam. Good Luck!

The answers is “A” because it will be ignored if there is a deadline for said update.

A is correct because the user will be PROMPTED. The questions states that users are not warned, D will also NOT WARN the user.

Here are the real world settings (for ans.of “A”):
