A company has client computers that run Windows 8. You install a new device on a client computer.
The device installation includes an application that runs when the computer starts. You experience
problems with the application. You need to prevent the application from running when the
computer starts, without affecting any other application. What should you do?
A.
Configure the device by using Device Manager.
B.
Run the msconfig command.
C.
Run the bcdedit command.
D.
Configure the application by using Task Manager.
D is wrong answer.
B is correct. Windows logo + r = msconfig
to manage the system startups you need task manager, in windows 8 the system startups moved from msconfig to task manager, so D is in fact the right answer.
@jasko, In Windows 8 you can only disable services in MSconfig. The starting of programs is moved to Tast Manager.
As the question talks about the starting of a program (not a service) the correct answer is D
Well the direct path is to use task manager, but if you use msconfig, under the startup tab MS provided a link to open up task manager…so both answers technically correct, just depends on how many steps you want to do 😀
