Refer to the exhibit.
SwitchA receives the frame with the addressing shown. According to the command output also
shown in the exhibit, how will SwitchA handle this frame?
A.
It will drop the frame.
B.
It will forward the frame out port Fa0/6 only.
C.
It will flood the frame out all ports.
D.
It will flood the frame out all ports except Fa0/3.
Correct answer is B, not D.
Mac is known in address table.
I agree with Soup. it should be B.
Right.. It should be B… Because F0/6 is already in Mac Table…so no need to broadcast it and the destination mac is also not FFF.FFF.FFF.FFF…
Answer is B, however you are not correct about broadcast. If switch doesn’t have destination MAC address in table it will flood all ports with this frame except the port this frame arrived on.
I agree, the right answer is B not D because the source and destination mac is on the table already.
B is CORRECT!!
switch tracks MAC address of directly connected device and the fa0/6 is already in mac table it should be the answer B
Agreed B.
