I disagree, default encapsulation is ISL so I think answer A is right

you need a trunk before you even think about encapsulation

B seems right. Cisco routers do not support DTP. So it will not negotiate the trunking mode.

Plus ISL is not supported on newer Cisco switches and i believe it’s no longer the default encapsulation on some platforms.

The answer is B ( right )
The problem is the diagram, it is not clear, Fa 0/1 of the switch and fa0/0 of the router should be pointed on the diagram.
The configuration of the fa 0/0 is do1q encapsulation, so the configuration of the switch should be do1q also.
