I think there is a mistake here. In my opinion the answer should be C & D. The WLC boots by default with the new code after an upgrade but through the CLI, during booting, you can choose boot option 2 to boot with the older code.

My mistake…you can also choose to boot with the backup image from the WLC GUI.
