Question 6031:
Please check your answer for this question. The answer is show interface serial.

I do not see any infromation about encapsulation in show frame-relay map…
there are two reasons why C is the answer:
1) none of the other commands are valid
2) the LMI type is NOT encapsulation
1841-bott#sh inter serial 0/0/0
Serial0/0/0 is up, line protocol is up

LMI DLCI 1023 LMI type is CISCO frame relay DTE
From packet-tracer:
WEST#show frame map
Serial0/0/0 (up): ip 10.0.0.1 dlci 201, static, broadcast, CISCO, status defined, active
Serial0/0/0 (up): ip 10.0.0.3 dlci 203, static, broadcast, CISCO, status defined, active
Serial0/0/0 (up): ip 10.0.0.4 dlci 204, static, broadcast, IETF, status defined, active
Command show frame-relay lmi shows only LMI type (CISCO, ANSI, Q933a), not encapsulation type (CISCO, IETF)
From GNS3:
R2#sh frame map
Serial1/0.201 (up): point-to-point dlci, dlci 201(0xC9,0x3090), broadcast, IETF
status defined, active

I review some links above and see A is correct answer
sir can you explain difference between point to point or multipoint configuration of frame relay protocol
1) correct is “sh frame-relay map”
RouterA#show frame-relay map
Serial0 (up): ip 157.147.3.65 dlci 980(0x3D4,0xF440), dynamic,
broadcast,, status defined, active
#show frame-relay map
Serial0/0/0 (up): ip 10.1.1.2 dlci 102 (0x66, 0x1860), static, broadcast, CISCO, status defined, active
2)# sh interfaces Serial
% Incomplete command.
you need to write to check interface options
A is correct
I think if all of you go back you can find out with either A or C.
I looked up CISCO commands and it says map, but looking up interface I found it as well.
The correct answer is A, show frame relay map.
You can check Table 33 in the following link: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/wan/command/reference/wrffr4.html#wp1029343
