Sorry based all available info, The seems to be an link authentication question. If Mid East was running PPP and a username dubai and password xxxx would have to be configured. Mid east is running hdlc – no password required.

for PPP,we should configure the password. But for HDLC,as Luis said above,no password/authentication is required.
Here MidEast uses HDLC to connect with Dubai Router.

But how do you know that MidEast is using HDLC encapsulation?
In my opinion is all about the PC connected to the console of the Dubai Router. If the admin is trying to access the MidEast Router from there Telnet or SSH should be used.
Only the Telnet option we’ve got in here

I had this question on my last test. I was able to open up to console via the test and run several show commands. Did not get the answer as I was running short on time. There were four questions on this configuration.
