When a customer wants to get sales numbers by day, how is data stored in the Star Schema, if
the data is loaded nightly?
A.
The lowest level of aggregation
B.
The highest level of aggregation
C.
Multiple levels of aggregation
D.
Independently from aggregation level
Ans is “B”
I guess answer is correct and it should A
The official answer is certainly correct we populate the data in transnational fact at the lowest level and later that data can be aggregated against various dimensional level .
Answer is A
Its a tricky scenario here. It could be B. Because if you want the data to be showed in one level up you definitely need to load that level for particular requirements. Night data can be loaded one level up to day level. say ex. 31st night data is to be populated as 1st day data as aggregate.

Thank you, guys.

B
Here we are talking about “How the data will be stored”.
We don’t need to store sales number by hours/Min/Second because we the customer wants to see the aggregation by Day.
So Data has to be stored as a Day aggregation.
Answer then will be B
hie i am taking an exam in a few weeks. can i depend on these questions?? thank you
