A network consultant needs to redo a CAT5e wall jack that has become unusable due to
recent physical damage. In order to install the replacement jack, which of the following tools
would need to be used to both install and validate the hardware? (Select TWO).
A.
Cable crimper
B.
Loopback plug
C.
Voltage meter
D.
Cable tester
E.
Punch down tool
Should be crimper (used to crimp down RJ-45 on cat 5/6 cables) and cable tester. (to ensure the said cable is good.)
its a wall jack not RJ- 45 cable buddy
What do u mean a cable wall? it says wall jack Cat5e (that is for 1 GB line) So what are we putting in there coaxial cable, I also chose crimper, but a toner..
To repair a wall jack you do need the punchdown tool… the Crimper is for RJ-11/45 connectors.
I retract my previous post. I get it now, as bashar is stating…they’re are talking about a wall-jack. So it needs a punch-down tool to replace the damage jack and cable tester to test the jack if it is good.
I Agree w/ PunchDown Tool to connect the Cat5E to Wall jack and Cable Tester to test the cable connected to wall jack.
