A technician needs to customize various cable lengths and verify that the cables are working correctly. Which of the following tools would be needed to accomplish this? (Select TWO).
A.
Cable certifier
B.
Multimeter
C.
Crimper
D.
Punch down tool
E.
Loopback plug
Isn’t a crimper meant to add the end to the wire or terminate it?
how does that verify if a cable is working?
It’s asking “A technician needs to customize various cable lengths” you would use a crimper for this. Remember today’s also have wire cutters and strippers on them.

My question is it states she has to customize various cable lengths, OKAY I see where the punch down and crimpers can fit in. Then it says to verify that the cables are working correctly!! A: Cable Certifier right. Nether the punch-down or crimper will verify anything. I believe it should be A: cable certifier and if I had to choose another, c: crimper. You can put both ends in an rj-45 then verify with the certifier. Who is with me on this?
