A technician is setting up a new network and wants to create redundant paths through the
network. Which of the following should be implemented to prevent performance degradation?
A.
Port mirroring
B.
Spanning tree
C.
ARP inspection
D.
VLAN
Explanation:
shouldn’t the answer be port mirroring?
As far as I’m concerned,Spanning tree protocol is used to prevent switching loops in a network. I do agree that it improves performance but port mirroring is used to create redundant paths.
Unless someone thinks I’m wrong about this, please correct me
Port Mirroring is a surveillance technique where traffic into/out of a particular logical port or ports is monitored. You do not do it to create redundancy, you do it because you suspect someone is using a port in a way that could be or cause a breech.
When multiple active paths are available, switching loops can occur.
STP actively monitors the network, searching for redundant links. When it finds some, it shuts them down to prevent switching loops.
The answer for this question is B.
