Uhm, no, DLP can prevent it. You can disable the USB devices in BIOS or you could disable USB hubs inside the operating system.

I think the answer may be in the way we read the question. DLP could prevent data from being copied onto the USB if the system sees the file(s) being copied is related to sensitive data. However, I don’t think that is what the question is asking. When it states “prevents USB drives from being recognized by company systems” I think it means a USB drive cannot be properly recognized if the registry keys are not available. Registry keys become available when the USB Drivers are downloaded.
If a “company system” does not allow for drivers to be downloaded automatically because it may go against the security posture of the system, then I can see where the USB drive would not have the available registry keys to be recognized.

I hope I am correct with my interpretation of the question.
