A small company needs to invest in a new expensive database. The company’s budget does not include the purchase of additional servers or personnel. Which of the following solutions would allow the small company to save money on hiring additional personnel and minimize the footprint in their current datacenter?
A.
Allow users to telecommute
B.
Setup a load balancer
C.
Infrastructure as a Service
D.
Software as a Service
This answer is incorrect it should be Infrastructure as a Service because an Organization can limit their footprint and pesonnel cost by renting access to hardware such as servers using it but Software as a Service is use on Applications such as web-based e-mail provided over the Internet.
I concur with Darryl
My notes from my study guide read as:
“IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) allows an organization to outsource its equipment requirements. The customer essentially rents access to the equipment and often pays on a per-use basis. This reduces the hardware footprint and keeps costs of maintaining hardware low”
I also concur the highlighted answer is incorrect.
No Sir…It makes no sense to purchase IaaS when you’re already strapped for cash. Read the question carefully…They only need one Database…Not a database, Virtual platforms, virtual servers or anything like that…Saas is the best answer..
