I suppose if you start to use it the blade itself is licensed therefore you would simply need to ‘enable’ it.

Symptoms

“There are no machines that contain Firewall Blade and Monitoring Blade” message in Smartview Monitor, when clicking on “Top Services”.

Cause

The are no Security Gateway objects, in which the ‘Monitoring’ software blade was enabled.

Solution

In SmartDashboard, enable the ‘Monitoring’ software blade for the desired Security Gateway / Cluster:

1.Open the Security Gateway / Cluster object.
2.In the left pane, go to ‘General Properties’.
3.On the right side, go to ‘Network Security’ tab.
4.Check the box ‘Monitoring’.
5.Click on ‘OK’.
6.Install policy on this Security Gateway / Cluster object.
