The customer has a small Check Point installation, which includes one GAiA server working as the
SmartConsole, and a second server running Windows 2008 as both Security Management Server
and Security Gateway. This is an example of a(n):
A.
Distributed Installation
B. Hybrid Installation
C.
Unsupported configuration
D.
Stand-Alone Installation
should be C, because as I know SmartConsole can only run on Windows
Theyre referring to a server installation. Not the SmartConsole Client.
The reason that it is unsupported is that “GAiA server working as the SmartConsole” Makes Absolutely no sense.
It is C. And who would let windows do security gateway?
Though the answer is rightly C), your reason is very wrong. Yes the Security Gateway can be installed on the Windows platform and it is supported by Check Point. Just as the Linux OS got stripped to the bare minimum (to reduce vulnerabilities) that’s needed to install and run the Gateway, the same can be done with Windows (Open server) which has the support of the vendor. Windows can be used for both Distributed and Stand-Alone Installations.
SmartConsole is a gui CLIENT for the Windows platform and not for the Gaia SERVER, hence the reason C) is right.
C)
C)
Correct Answer is D. I know you may not believe it, but you can install Gaia on Windows server also. Still cant believe?????????

Can you install SmartConsole application on the same server? That makes C as the correct answer my friend.
Hey Kishore,
Read questin carefully..You can’t install smart console (dashboard) on GAIA server.
On GAiA server can not install SmartConsole.
I think that the Security Management Server and Security Gateway install on Windows Server is not.
