Which of the following is NOT a feature of ClusterXL?
A.
Enhanced throughput in all ClusterXL modes (2 gateway cluster compared with 1 gateway)
B.
Transparent failover in case of device failures
C.
Zero downtime for mission-critical environments with State Synchronization
D.
Transparent upgrades
I think the answer is A because in guide is this:
Enhanced throughput (in Load Sharing modes)
i think A only
Cluster XL includes HA (which is active-passive) – that mode does NOT “enhance the throughput”, it just provides resilience.
In HA and Load Sharing, if you use State Sync, then upon a failure, the traffic continues without any problems .
So I say C is correct.
The answer is A. Enhanced throughput is only a feature of Load Sharing modes, not applicable to High Availability mode.
Cluster XL can use *either* HA *or* Load Sharing modes.
Answer A says “Enhanced throughput in *all* ClusterXL modes”: HA is one of the Cluster XL modes, and it does NOT give enhanced throughput… so answer A can NOT therefore be correct.
Paul,
Your reasoning is right but as you can see in the question it qoutes “Which is NOT a feature”. so A
Answer: A)
https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R76/CP_R76_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/7292.htm
ClusterXL provides:
Transparent failover in case of machine failures
Zero downtime for mission-critical environments (when using State Synchronization)
Enhanced throughput (in Load Sharing modes)
Transparent upgrades
The correct answer is A, no doubt.
BUT.. my colleague did the exam and selected “Transparent Upgrades” and it was correct (it was correct because he had 100% on all ClusterXL and Upgrade related questions).
So.. you’ll have to decide between selecting the right answer, or select the answer that will give you points.
Of course, they could have correct it meanwhile.
If I get this one, i’ll select the correct one and will add a commentary to the question justifying my choice.
