A.
You need to add interfaces: 10.10.10.1/24 on Member A, and 10.10.10.2/24 on Member B. The
virtual IP address for these interfaces is 10.10.10.3/24. Both cluster gateways have a Quad card
with an available eth3 interface. What is the correct procedure to add these interfaces?

B.
1. Disable “Cluster membership” from one Gateway via cpconfig.
2. Configure the new interface via sysconfig from the “non-member” Gateway.
3. Re-enable “Cluster membership” on the Gateway.
4. Perform the same steps on the other Gateway.
5. Update the topology in the cluster object.
6. Install the Security Policy.

C.
1. Configure the new interface on both members using WebUI.
2. Update the new topology in the cluster object from SmartDashboard.
3. Define virtual IP in the Dashboard
4. Install the Security Policy.

D.
1. Use WebUI to configure the new interfaces on both member.
2. Update the topology in the cluster object.
3. Reboot both gateways.
4. Install the Security Policy.

E.
1. Use the command ifconfig to configure and enable the new interface on both members.
2. Update the topology in the cluster object for the cluster and both members.
3. Install the Security Policy.
4. Reboot the gateway.

Correct answer shoult be
C)
Configure the new interface on both members using webUI…

–> I think it is an formating issue

Agree.
Not sure if (B) or (C) as in when u take the test, if u only tend to Memorize the letter answers, but the steps are …..
1. Configure the new interface on both members using WebUI.
2. Update the new topology in the cluster object from SmartDashboard.
3. Define virtual IP in the Dashboard4. Install the Security Policy

Sorry messed up the formation:
1. Configure the new interface on both members using WebUI.
2. Update the new topology in the cluster object from SmartDashboard.
3. Define virtual IP in the Dashboard
4. Install the Security Policy.

Correct is C! Asshole!

I think C is right but in sk57100 ChP suggest to stop clustering.

sk57100:
Complete maintenance window is strongly recommended when an interface must be added/removed to/from cluster Topology.
If such complete maintenance window is not possible, then in order to avoid unnecessary fail-overs, the following action plan is suggested for High Availability cluster:

Stop the clustering on Standby member
Perform all operations on Standby member
Perform all operations on Active member
Perform all operations in SmartDashboard
Start the clustering on Standby member

As per the order shown above C is the correct answer but what Mike mentioned that’s also correct, given in option B it’s enabling cluster membership before making changes to the other member so it’s wrong anyway. So I’ll go with:
C
1. Configure the new interface on both members using WebUI.
2. Update the new topology in the cluster object from SmartDashboard.
3. Define virtual IP in the Dashboard
4. Install the Security Policy.

I’ll go with B. I would have answered C in real world but it seems Check Point recommends B.
The order on when you enable clustering doesnt matter as long as it comes after configuring the new interfaces on standby.

Minor error though – it should have been cpconfig not sysconfig

Wrote 156-315.77 last Friday, and passed with 95%!

There were 89 questions of my 156-315.77 exam, many Fill in the Blank questions.

Around 10-15 new questions (IPS, Threat Prevention FW Monitor, VPN Tunnel Sharing, GAiA…etc.).

Be careful of questions on Command and Syntax, GAiA Command.

I used the PassLeader 156-315.77 dumps ( http://www.passleader.com/156-315-77.html ) (752q VCE and PDF dumps) for preparing for exam, all NEW questions were from it, the most valid 156-315.77 dumps!
