[edit policy-options]
user@router# show
policy-statement my-policy {
term 1 {
from {
route-filter 172.27.0.0/24 longer;
}
}
then reject;
}
Which statement is correct about the policy shown in the exhibit?
A.
All routes are accepted.
B.
All routes are rejected.
C.
A 172.27.0.0/24 route will be accepted.
D.
A 172.27.0.0/16 route will be accepted.
I am not getting this. Why ALL routes will be rejected. What about 10.10.10.0/24 ?
Michaelb, if I am right.. seems that this question is the kind of “weird ones” like you need to see all the options and get the most correct, this case will be like:
A: all routes are accepted? no, cause 172.27.0.0/24 and below will not be accepted,
B: all routes are rejected? this is the most exact to the answer to that question (cause there is no more options)
c: definitively this will not be accepted
d: this will not accepted
and yes, you are correct what about 10.10.10.0/24? but like this kind of exams are tricky i think that they want you to give you a harsh time….
I believe D is correct. Please comment…
I am also confused about he answer, if anyone can clarify pls comment
longer :
will only match routes that are more specific than the specified route.
This match type is analogous to the mathematical greater-than operation.
=============================
orlonger :
The orlonger match type will also match the route specified in the route filter. In
addition, it will match all routes more specific than the specified route. This more specific match will continue until the bottom of the radix tree (the 32nd level) is reached.
This match type is similar to a greater-than-or-equals-to operation in mathematics.

In IOS a route-map has an implicit deny at the end of it. A route-policy on the other hand has the default protocol policy. All of the default policies you can find them right here: http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/software/junos/junos94/swconfig-policy/default-routing-policies-and-actions.html
