SurfControl Integrated Web Filtering Solution
The SurfControl server stores a database of categories and associated URLs. Every time a user tries
to access a site, the SRX device captures the requested URL and queries the SurfControl database.
The server responds with the category of the website, which is used by a Web filtering policy on the
SRX device to allow or deny access.
Once a site is associated with a category, the result is cached locally. Subsequent requests for the same URL do
not require a new query to the centralized database.
