You received an alert from your monitoring system that the master Routing Engine (RE) on an EX4300 switch
in a virtual chassis has hardware issues and might need to be replaced. Because the switch already had
graceful Routing Engine switchover (GRES) enabled and configured, you must perform a manual switchover to
the backup RE to avoid disruption.
Which command would be used to perform the manual RE switchover?
A.
Log in to the backup RE and issue the request chassis-control operation command.
B.
Log in to the backup RE and issue the request chassis routing-engine master switch
operation command.
C.
Log in to the backup RE and issue the request chassis routing-engine master acquire
operation command.
D.
Log in to the backup RE and issue the request iccp-service operation command.
Shouldn’t C also correct?
Also for virtual-chassis, the command seems to be ‘request virtual-chassis routing-engine master switch’, and this can only run from the master

C is also an option, but B is better:
Note: The acquire option should be used with caution because acquiring a Routing Engine may result in a corrupted database. If possible, use the switch option instead.

I took the exam today and remember this question, but the answer for B was different. It said “master” instead of “backup”
“Log in to the master RE and issue the request chassis routing-engine master switch operation command.”
I’m 100% sure, because I flagged it to use more time at the end.
Conclusion: Best answer C.
