recommend?

A.
adding a High Capacity Storage expansion rack

B.
expanding the Exadata rack from a Half Rack to a Full Rack

C.
moving underutilized grid disks from the RECO diskgroup to DATA

D.
adding a ZFS storage appliance

E.
adding a High Performance Storage expansion rack

Explanation:
A: Oracle Exadata Storage Expansion Rack X4-2 enables you to grow the Oracle

Exadata storage capacity and bandwidth of Oracle Exadata Database Machine X4-2 and X3-8 and
Oracle SuperCluster. It is designed for database deployments that require very large amounts of
data, including historical or archive data; backups and archives of Oracle Exadata Database
Machine data; documents; images; file and XML data; LOB’s; and other large unstructured data.

Answer is B,E

(Not A: Customer is currently using High Performance disks (600 GB). Wanting to expand their current DATA diskgroup would require more high performance disks as you should not mix high performance and high capacity within the same disk group.)

I go with answer C & E

Answer B is not application here. If you look at the question, it doesn’t mention what is the current rac size. Hence, can’t predict it was a eight rack, quarter rack or half rack as mentioned.

After initial deployment, RECO diskgroup is configured with high value, where most of the DB doesn’t require big sized RECO DG. It is a common practice to reduce the RECO after the initial deployment.

Hence, my answer will C & E

comment from Syed makes totally sense. Additionally, even if the customer has a half rack – which we do NOT know – this would be a very expensive option. Customer does not not more database power … he needs only more diskspace.

Good work Syed

C. moving underutilized grid disks from the RECO disk group to DATA
E. adding a High Performance Storage expansion rack

The question did not mentionate which type of Database Machine the client have (half.. quarter… full), so, in this case we don’t know. We know that client use disks with 600GB (High Performance). The question ask for RECOMMENDATIONS.
