An OSPF network has been designed with multiple areas to improve scalability.Which two statements are true? (Choose two.)
A.
Each router in the OSPF network runs the shortest-path-first algorithm to determine paths through the network.
B.
The Area Border Router for each area runs the shortest-path-first algorithm and floods its results through the area.
C.
Each area must have at least one link connecting it to each of the other areas of the OSPF network.
D.
OSPF provides loop-free routing within an OSPF routing domain, but does not guarantee symmetrical routing.
Answer : B & D
Sanjay, could you please explain why B not A?
i think it is A & D
it’s B and C
A and D are correct.
Joseph I don’t know if you are guessing, you don’t know or simply trying to confuse people here, but you really do not understand anything about Juniper routing and switching so far as I can see. This is a real advice, please study, research learn before you post. Sanjay, you too,at least for this question.
Maybe you should read badaway’s comment. The correct answers are A and D.
A is correct and very basic and the fact that you left out is really very troubling.
B is not correct. ABR connecting to Area 1 and Area 2 will not flood into all areas. Only flood for Area 1 into area 1 and Area 2 into Area 2.
C . Really have a connecting link into all other areas? I have 1000 areas? You could use the process of elimination to eliminate this one. No each area must have a link connecting it to the Backbone (generally speaking). Different if connecting two separate OSPF domains.
D is correct because that is what OSPF was made to do by having full mesh connectivity and running the Dijstra algorithm.
A and D are the correct answers. Regarding to B, OSPF routers don’t send SPF results they send only LSAs.
