A: Repository file
The Oracle Product Lifecycle Analytics (Oracle PLA) application utilizes the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Layer (OBIEE) layer’s platform authentication features.
You change the password for the PLMA.RPD repository file using the OBIEE Admin Tool.
B: LDAP Authentication
LDAP authentication is used as an alternative to storing user IDs and passwords in an Oracle BI repository.
You can set up the Oracle BI Server to take the user ID and password, and have it then pass the user ID and password to an LDAP server for authentication.
Thanks sir, a question: the user/pwd within repository must be synchronized to LDAP as well? I don’t think OPSS can directly manager the security within the password.

“If you have specific permissions defined in the repository file for a particular user these will be lost. In this case, when you start up your Business Intelligence system you will need to re-associate any user level permissions with these users in your LDAP (OID) source. This will ensure that a user with the same name, (but who is not the same person), will be identified correctly by the system, as a different user.”
