Which three statements are true about opatch version 12?

Which three statements are true about opatch version 12?

A.
It can apply patches to a database ORACLE_HOME.

B.
It can apply a patchset to a database ORACLE_HOME.

C.
It cannot apply a patch to a Grid Infrastructure ORACLE_HOME.

D.
It cannot run with root privileges on a Unix-like system.

E.
It can apply some patches without shutting down database instances.

F.
It can only apply patches on the cluster node from where it is issued.

Explanation:
Incorrect Answers:
C: The OPatch and OPatchauto utilities provide you with the flexibility to analyze, troubleshoot, and patch an individual GI (Grid Infrastructure)/RAC (Real
Application Cluster) home environments.
D: It is recommended that OPatch should not be invoked by ‘root’, if so then the CheckUserAdminPrivilege check fails. But it is possible to run OPatch with root
privileges.
F: OPatchauto executes across all hosts in the associated system, using SSH as its remote execution mechanism for requisite commands, such as opatch apply.

“A” This is correct if it means interim patchs or a bundle patch!

“B” is wrong!

Patch sets are now installed as out-of-place upgrades to the Grid Infrastructure software (Oracle Clusterware and Automatic Storage Management) and Oracle Database. This reduces the down time required for planned outages for patching.

Installing a Rolling Patch Set with OUI
You must install the software for the new Oracle Database release before you can perform the upgrade of Oracle Database. The installation procedure installs the Oracle software into a new Oracle home. This is referred to as an out-of-place upgrade and is different from patch set releases for earlier releases of Oracle Database, where the patch set was always installed in place. The new Oracle Database software is installed by using the OUI. The upgrade process is completed by the Oracle Database Upgrade Assistant.

“C” This is wrong! You can apply a interim patchs or a bundle patch.

“D” This is not true!

The OPatch utility has automated the patch application for the Oracle Grid Infrastructure home and the Oracle RAC database homes. It operates by querying existing configurations and automating the steps required for patching each Oracle RAC database home of the same version and the GI home.
The utility must be executed by an operating system user with root privileges (usually the user root), and it must be executed on each node in the cluster if the Grid Infrastructure home or Oracle RAC database home is in non-shared storage. The utility should not be run in parallel on the cluster nodes.

“E” This is wrong!

Patching Oracle RAC can be completed without taking the entire cluster down. In many cases, patching can be performed with zero down time. This also allows for out-of-place upgrades to the cluster software and Oracle Database, reducing the planned maintenance down time required in an Oracle RAC environment.

“F”

The O Patch utility has automated the patch application for the Oracle Grid Infrastructure home and the Oracle RAC database homes.
Depending on the command-line options specified, one invocation of O Patch can patch the GI home, one or more Oracle RAC database homes, or both GI and Oracle RAC database homes of the same Oracle release version. You can also roll back the patch with the same selectivity.

Ops! “E” is right!
and “F” is wrong!

But, I really dont know what is the correct answer for this question, the documentation is so dificult to understand they are not clear about this questions and the words or key words are confused and this key words are used in wrong way and the terms is constantly shifted, like patch, patchset, patch set, interin patch, PSU, bundle patch, etc.

I believe the correct answers are A,E,F
You dont use Opatch to apply a patchset. And also Opatch only patch the node where it’s executed.
