Examine the partial Activity Over Time section of an Active SessionHistory (ASH) report:

Which two inferences are correct?(Choose two.)

A.
In the first time slot, five different sampled sessions were connected to the database
instance.

B.
In the second time slot, out of the nine sampled sessions connected to the database
instance, only one sampled session was idle at the time of report generation.

C.
In the first time slot, only one sampled session wasusing the CPU.

D.
In the second time slot, five different sampled sessions were using the CPU.

E.
In the second time slot, 0.14% of the time was spent on the CPU.

imo C, E are correct.
A incorrect because Slot Count equals to the count of sampled events. Even one session can generate all the events.
B incorrect as idle sessions are always out of ASH reports
D incorrent for the same reason as A.

AE
Slot Count – Number of sampled sessions in the slot

Fonx

Fonx

“Slot count” shows the number of ASH samples in that slot. SO it is probably equals to the number of sessions

E may be wrong because “spent on the CPU” is not clear : does it include waits ??

C may be right because if event occured only one time, it mean only one session has been on the CPU

Anyway… AE imo

New data
Slot count is “number of ash sample during the slot”.
One session can generate 10 samples in 10 seconds

In the question does “sampled session” means “ash sample” ?

So
A is OK
B is wrong because idle session not sampled
C is OK, only one sample means only one session
D Wrong as null event means “on cpu” (see metalink note below)
E Is wrong because % is % of total time

‘Null Event’ Wait Events Occurs Intermittently in ASH Report (Doc ID 2102027.1)
