JJ is right. Correct answer is B (Virtual SAN Datastores) as explained in VMware Foundstions course. “Virtual SAN Datastores
Virtual Volumes virtualizes SAN and NAS devices by abstracting
physical hardware resources into logical pools of capacity. These
pools of capacity are known as Virtual Datastores. The Virtual
Datastore defines capacity boundaries, access logic, and exposes
a set of data services accessible to the virtual machines
provisioned in the pool. Virtua l Datastores are purely logical
constructs that can be configured on the fly, when needed, without
disruption and don’t require formatting with a fi le system”

Is a virtual SAN Datastore different from a virtual SAN?

Because per https://pubs.vmware.com/vsphere-55/index.jsp#com.vmware.vsphere.storage.doc/GUID-ACC10393-47F6-4C5A-85FC-88051C1806A0.html

Virtual SAN virtualizes local PHYSICAL storage resources of ESXi hosts and turns them into pools of storage that can be carved up and assigned to virtual machines and applications according to their quality of service requirements.

So if it only applies to Local Disks I would say “D” has to be correct.
