Which feature of vSphere Distributed Switches (VDS) helps lessen the possibility of
downtime caused by configuration errors?
A.
Automatic Error Detection
B.
Automatic Configuration Rollback
C.
Network Backup and Recovery
D.
vSphere Switch Recovery Manager
B or C? Anyone?
Should be C. Rollback is not automatic. Also the feature is called Networking Rollback and Recovery.
I think B actually. In a case as below where connectivity is lost it will automatically back out of the change. Check out this VMware blog that contains this:
“The rollback and recovery feature monitors any changes you make when configuring the management network. If the new configuration causes the host to lose its connection to vCenter Server, the rollback feature will restore the previous configuration and recover service. This error check is performed in real-time, preventing any downtime of the management network.”
