Sure it is B (switch). Since no vlans can be deployed, you need separate physical network segment for each department. No?
Yes, B is it. Absent of VLAN you will need more switches to support those segments since they cant be contained in the same switch.
I believe that the answer is the A letter, that is because we need to create more segments to have the traffic isoalted.
A is the correct answer .. without a router you can’t isolate the networks segments if no VLAN used because whatever the number of switches you add in the network they will still be in the same LAN and broadcast domain
